Job Description
The Account Management position works in close conjunction with the new business team and provides vision and execution in maintaining/developing sales growth in existing accounts, creating and identifying opportunities in existing accounts for the sale of additional services and solutions. This role is also pivotal in ensuring existing customer accounts are properly penetrated and retained.
Duties and Responsibilities
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
- Maintain internal sales activity to develop user base to forecasted levels
- Through networking create new sales opportunities and channels for the sale of services and solutions into existing accounts.
- Ensures all existing accounts are properly blueprinted for opportunity in Goldmine.
- Manage personal quota targets and quarterly objectives to completion.
- Protect customer accounts by ensuring that the relevant infrastructure for good account management is in place.
- Develop a pipeline of pipeline opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Support customer services and sell through solution sales to designated target customers.
- Working with the specialist sell through team, ensure that all clients are interrogated and blueprinted for web, video and event sales opportunities.
- Track on going progress of accounts working with the Implementation Specialist and Business Development Manager.
- Understand and have access to customer short and long rangeplanning objectives and understand the impact that your sales activity will have on these plans.
- Provide the documentation and communication necessary to customers to complete their integration into full service.(Working with the BDM/Operations Team/Sales Specialists/Marketing)
DATABASE CONTROL AND REPORTING
- Maintain proper and accurate forms and reporting.
- Maintain the Goldmine database with the correct data and quality.
- Provide ongoing reviews of account status with the assigned Business Development Manager.
- Where applicable provide ongoing coaching and support to the assigned Account Executive to develop and grow existing accounts
ACTIVITY AND TARGETTING
- Meet and exceed quota, activity and growth targets
- Grow appointments and activity across the sales base.
- Meet a minimum level of meetings per week. (To Be Agreed)
STRATEGY AND FORECASTING
- Determine and articulate sales strategies by designing and completing a monthly sales forecast within internal customer accounts.
- Provide sales forecasts, strategies and solutions agreed with your line manager to be useful.
- Handle mail/correspondence, faxes and other introductory materials, which must be transmitted to the customer/prospect.
- Have a solid understanding of computer/software usage and continue to make effective use of like-type tools.
- Perform other assigned tasks as requested.
- Participate in sufficient training and support to effectively and efficiently represent the company, its capabilities and value added advantages.

- Personal Computer in a networked Windows environment
- Fax machine
- Other software: Excel, MS-Word, Goldmine
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Preferably a college degree or comparable work/life experience.
- Two years plus years of sales experience in a related industry (four to six years plus for senior positions).
- Expert knowledge of account management with a sales bias. (Not order taking)
- Proven expertise in Consultative Selling and Sales Closing.
- Excellent internal communications skills and effective communicator.
- Strong interpersonal skills: negotiating, influencing, and dealing effectively with people.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Professional manner, dress, and appearance. Maintain a customer facing presentation and ensure that you meet with a traditional business dress code, which includes suit and neck tie for men and acceptable business dress for women.
- High personal integrity, ethics and credibility.
